Description
The exterior of the home features ample deck and balcony area, shaded areas for sun relief, dining, and/or grilling. Ground-level of the home provides an expansive shaded area for gatherings and grilling, an oversized custom picnic table that can accommodate a large or extended family. From the gathering area, you can access the pool, a fishing dock (including a covered cleaning station), and a grassy side-yard. A day of fishing, boating, swimming, and kayaking are all available at this special home. For those with access to a Kayak, the bay is within easy paddling distance as is the beautiful paddle-access wetland property as you paddle out of the neighborhood (where Pelicans and a number of different birds (both local and migratory) can often be seen close-up.
Walk up the central staircase to the first level of this two-story home. As you enter you will experience the open concept living/dining/kitchen with ample seating for everyone. From nearly every window are views of the canal as boats and fishermen slowly make their way out the canal toward Galveston Bay. Open concept very large kitchen with both an island and bar area with stools provide plenty of food and drink preparation areas. This kitchen is up-to-date with all modern appliances, countertops and features Nespresso and coffee maker, (bring your own pods), a blender with built-in pour spout, and everything a cook might need to prepare today's catch or steaks on the charcoal grill.
Extending from the first level of the home is an enormous deck covering three sides of the house that includes (one side) a covered porch perfect for watching the sunrise over the gulf. The deck on the other side includes a covered canal-facing area with a dining table that seats eight and a covered “visiting” nook with chairs. When you want to get some sun you can walk from the covered areas to a large sun-deck that covers the boat-house and that provides great views of our Galveston sunsets and an essentially unrestricted view of the night-time sky. The house includes a telescope that you can take out to the deck to get a closer view of the stars. (please return inside after viewing).
For some 'inside time' the living area features high-speed multi-band WIFI that covers the entire property, large television with cable, a Blue-Ray DVD player, a Roku (where you can access your Netflix account), and an X-Box and Nintendo gaming system. Built-in bookcases contain a variety of board games, cards, dominoes, DVD and Blue-Ray movies (of all ratings), and several X-Box games. The bookcases also contain books, including several focusing on Galveston history, architecture, wildlife, and fishing. There are several easy-to-read paperbacks for a day at the beach. This is truly a family-friendly home where you will make memories for a lifetime!
In addition to the living room/kitchen the first level of the home has a front guest bedroom with a queen-size bed (sleeps 2), ceiling fan and television (with Roku for streaming access) as well as access to a private balcony for some private reading or morning coffee while the sun rises. The second bedroom on the first level has a full-size bed (sleeps 2), ceiling fan, TV (with Roku). Located between these two bedrooms is a large bathroom with a tub/shower and vanity. A laundry room with a full-size washer/dryer and stationery tub is available for guests' use. A special feature of this house is the small hideaway seating area/bedroom next to the kitchen area that opens up to the deck and provides a great view of the canal. This room includes a twin over twin trundle bed (sleeps 2).
The upstairs bedrooms include the primary bedroom with a Sleep Number king bed (sleeps 2) that can be adjusted to just your preference, a ceiling fan, and a TV (with cable). Just off the primary bedroom is a large private balcony with four chairs, footrests, and a light string that provides just the right ambiance for a private dinner, a romantic evening, or sometimes watching the stars. Also located on the upper floor is the fifth bedroom which features two twin beds and a third twin mattress (room sleeps 3).
ISLA DEL SOL
Located just 16 miles from town, and nestled between popular Sea Isle and Terramar Beach, Isla del Sol guests oftentimes will take advantage of Sea Isle's bait shop, playground, tennis courts, convenience store, restaurant and bar.

This property is located in a relatively quiet, predominantly residential neighborhood. NO PARTIES RESULTING IN DISTURBANCE OF INDIVIDUALS ON OTHER PROPERTIES IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OR A VIOLATION OF THE NOISE OR ANY OTHER ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GALVESTON ARE PERMITTED.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.
Pool and spa are serviced multiple times a week, and we make every effort to keep them in tip top shape. However, we cannot guarantee there won’t be a disruption, but we always make every effort to resolve any issues ASAP.
Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.
All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.
EXTENDED STAYS
Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.
