We had issues with check in. At 3:47pm before check in we was advised the unit wouldn't be ready at 4pm. No estimate to when it would be ready. We let them know we had our truck bed loaded and was unable to go anywhere till we could unload. We were advised there was an issue with the lock on the home and we could go there but could not enter and was told maintenance was on site. We arrived at 4:20 and no one was there. I called and was told that it was fixed and we could go in. Friday we received a text about beryl approaching and was asked to move patio furniture inside and if we needed assistance to let them know. We asked if they wanted all moved or just light stuff and if they wanted the storm shutters closed. They said just the light patio stuff. I received a phone call Saturday from a staff member letting us know the owners wanted the shutter closed but due to liability and safety they could not close them with us there but we could. I let the staff member know I was not comfortable doing the shutters in case something broke and would like for a maintenance member to come close them. No one ever came. I asked if we left early because of the storm of we would be reimbursed and was told no (though we had purchased the insurance) we ended up only leaving the evening before check out. The house itself was amazing. View was gorgeous and the pier was great. The day after the 5th there was some rowdy kids a few houses down who were loud and obnoxious till about 2 or 3 am but we enjoyed fishing anyways. All in all our stay was great but not impressed with the rental company and their responses to requests for help. Also had I not called I would not have known the lock had been fixed because they assumed we had been texted already. Again house was wonderful rental company not as much. Despite that we had a great vacation and are only sad we had to cut it short because of beryl.

Great home for families with young kids! Nice neighborhood to be in, beautiful views, amazing back porch and dock to fish on. Home is less than 20 mins from downtown Rockport, bait shops everywhere, and great restaurants. The photos do not do this place justice!
