Retreat to your own cozy mountain “Hideaway” in this adorable rustic cabin! Conveniently located in mid-town Ruidoso, this romantic retreat for two sleeps three in a pinch and features a wood-stove, kitchenette, charming front porch and more in the scenic woodland setting of Apache Village Cabins.

Crafted in the 1940s by an experienced carpenter, Hideaway retains its vintage charm while including the modern convenience you crave. For all it’s so small, Hideaway has been cunningly arranged…step through the door and you’ll find yourself in a snug living area furnished with a loveseat (which opens into a single bed) facing a large HDTV. Tucked away in a corner, a charming little wood stove adds to the ambience provided by the knotty pine walls and ceiling - as well as welcome warmth after a day spent skiing at Ski Apache!

Half-hidden behind the loveseat is a charming kitchenette containing a mini fridge, oven with stovetop, microwave oven, coffeemaker and sink. The rough-cut cabinets contain enough cookware, dinnerware and utensils to whip up a quick snack, or even a full, intimate dinner for two (which you can enjoy at the nearby pub table).

Wake yourself up in the morning with a quick shower in Hideaway’s three-quarter bathroom. There are plenty of hooks for hanging your towels, and plenty of towels, too (along with extra bedding for the loveseat sleeper). When you’re ready for some shut eye, retire to the cozy bedroom where a queen-size bed stands ready to take you into dreamland.

The quaint porch, furnished with a bistro table with seating for two, is a special treat. You’ll love hanging out there with a loved one, breathing in the crisp mountain air and enjoying a cup of tea, glass of wine or tasty meal prepared on the gas grill.

Traveling with friends or family? When rented together, Apache Village Cabins can accommodate a larger group of travelers. Conveniently located near the village of Ruidoso, Hideaway is just minutes from restaurants, shopping and art galleries. The surrounding area is loaded with opportunities for the outdoor adventurer, from skiing at the nearby Ski Apache Resort to hiking and mountain biking in Lincoln National Forest. During the summer, Ruidoso Downs Racetrack features horse racing while, northeast of the village, history buffs can enjoy exploring the 19th Century adobe and stone buildings and museum of the Lincoln Historic Site.

So, take some time to “Hideaway” from real-world stress for a while, and call today to book your getaway!

Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains may be required during winter months to access your home.
