Description
Beacher's Lodge 236 is a studio, one-bath condo on the second floor within just ten miles south of historic downtown St. Augustine. The Intracoastal Waterway is just to the west, with spectacular sunsets and quieter waters for kayaking, canoeing, and walking. And one of northeast Florida's absolute best beaches -- Crescent -- is just yards away, waiting to be explored! (Not to mention Fort Matanzas and all the other local attractions of this history-rich piece of the coast!)
Our condo is compact but very efficiently designed, with a combined living and dining area. The living and dining area contains a sofa that converts to a bed for two and a king-size bed. The dining table makes a great game or laptop space (you have free community wireless Internet at Beacher's Lodge 236), so break out the cards and enjoy a night "in"!
The kitchenette in our condo has everything you'll need for your stay, including dishes, cookware, utensils, and gadgets. The fridge is large enough for all your drinks and nibbles, the microwave and toaster oven stand ready for quick meals, and the stove is handy for home cooking. You just bring the food -- we've got everything else waiting for you!
The main part of our condo is designed for fun and togetherness. We also have all linens and towels ready when you arrive and there are a washer and dryer on the premises. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets for the sofa sleeper, too! You can sleep four very easily in our condo!
If you're used to hotel rooms, you'll be amazed at the convenience and spaciousness of Beacher's Lodge 236.
But the best part of this condo is its location. You're right near the shores of Crescent Beach, with your own personal walkway (and outdoor shower) down to the sands. There are picnic and barbecue areas on the grounds as well, and the swimming pool is fabulous. So much to do without even leaving Beacher's Lodge!

The internet didn’t work, the room is not beachfront nor a balcony room. The shower doesn’t drain, the blow dryer was taped together, and the A/C unit banged and clattered all night resulting in very little sleep.

The unit was nice but we had a few issues. The kitchen was woefully under equipped for an airbnb. The basics that were there were like used yard sale. Most Airbnb's we stay in have basic kitchen sundries for gust accommodations. I have to say I have stayed in a lot of beach motels that supplied more soap and toilet paper. We tend to chose airbnb over motels for just that. We like to be able to cook and for the most part especially lately Airbnb's have upped there game beating out staying in motels. The room itself was good and nicely done. I have stayed at bleachers many times and did not think about what ocean view meant as I thought every room faced the ocean. This room does not but true to it's description looking out over the parking lot next door there was ocean view. Warming here : there is no handicap access. There is no mention of it being on the 2ed floor and the access is two flights of stairs. That part made getting our luggage and belongs to the room hard

Clean and basically came as described. - We often ran out of hot water and the toilet ran so you had to adjust the handle after each flush. Also a few added kitchen items could be useful (wine glasses, cutting board w sharp knife and better pits with fitting lids.
