You'll be remembering Remember the Alamo for a long time! Loaded with opportunities for nature lovers from skiing at nearby Ski Apache to fishing, hiking, biking, or horseback riding in Alto Lake, Remember the Alamo is the perfect place from which to experience it all. Just a short drive away, the Inn of the Mountain Gods casino resort offers endless options for entertainment, while Ruidoso Winter Park offers snow tubing in the winter months and zip-lining year-round. And less than half an hour away, Fort Stanton-Snowy River Cave National Conservation Area, the Hubbard Museum of the American West, the art galleries and artisan shops of Sudderth Drive, and Grindstone Lake and Trail System offer even more fun diversions.

Remember the Alamo is a cozy mountain retreat set amidst towering Ponderosa pines that sleeps six altogether (plus your beloved pet!) and features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an amazing deck complete with hot tub and gas grill, and lush forest and mountain views. Sumptuous seating along with a cable TV make the living area a delightful place to spend time with family or friends; enjoy watching a movie on the DVD player after a day of skiing, surfing the web courtesy of the free Wi-Fi, or just having a chat by the stone fireplace while enjoying a cup of cocoa. Remember the Alamo's dining area is a great place to gather for a family meal or game of cards, while the kitchen has everything you need to prepare as simple or lavish a meal as you could wish.

Three comfortable bedrooms (one with a king-size bed, two with queen-size beds, all with TVs and unique comforts of their own) offer mini retreats for couples traveling together or a family. Two full bathrooms ensure everyone can get ready for the fun-filled days faster, and all towels and bed linens are provided. Plus, a laundry room with washer and dryer negates the need to find a Laundromat (or over pack)!

Close to everything the Sierra Blanca area has to offer, Remember the Alamo is a dream location for a family or friends to enjoy the ski trip or summer vacation of a lifetime. So what are you waiting for? Book your stay today!

Make sure to dodge the dog feces upon entering the drive and yard.

We have stayed at Remember the Alamo three times and this stay was the best so far! We have always loved the house and the location, but the recent remodeling and updates have improved the quality and comfort of the house. Brand new kitchen, flooring, furniture, sliding doors and especially the new master bathroom all since our last visit. We love the location, views from the deck and hot tub and easy access to the National Forest. The driveway is still a challenge but we were able to manage the bumps and ruts. Oh and also the elk and deer make frequent appearances! We will be back!

Stayed for 4 nights. I read the Google reviews prior to booking. I did see some of the listed cosmetic imperfections. However they were minor. Great cabin very close to town. Didn\'t have any issues. Never had to contact anyone short of check in and check out. Can\'t ask for much more than that. No complaints from me or my family. Everything worked as it should. Cabin was clean, no bugs. Very nice furniture. With the national forest closed due to fire danger. I was glad to see mule deer in the yard daily. Elk and wild horses in the neighborhood daily. Great fishing at Alto and Grindstone lakes right down the road. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone heading up to Ruidoso.
