The pros.. - The house is beautiful and located in close proximity to all amenities Orange Beach has to offer. - Extremely clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need if you plan on cooking. - Lots of books and games available to read/play - The property is very well maintained with lots of flowers and plants. Only cons… - Lots of natural light but very little privacy due to lack of shades or blinds. There are curtains but they are translucent. This includes interior bedrooms as well. - There is a cottage behind this house and it confusing when it comes to parking. There were people that parked in our spaces a few times. The only recommendation is that there should be some instructions on parking for the house can the cottage and a map of the property provided. Just so you know which pool is the one you have access to and where the beach access is. The rental company addressed the parking issues and was very responsive when we asked questions though. I would definitely stay here again or another property at Tannin.

Pros: quick and easy access to the beach and pool (3-5min walk to both), plenty of good dining options within 10-15mins or less, unique and adorable crows nest nook for playing a game or reading, arcade with go carts close by, spacious home for a 2BR, clean home with no weird smells, nice pools to lounge at, comfortable beds and pillows, well equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor space with the porches! Perfect place to enjoy your morning cup of Joe or beach read. Would have loved a small table for meals! Cons: You’re renting a property managed by a property management company. To each their own, but I often prefer those who are ran by the owner. Read the details of what’s provided at the property and what’s not before making the trip. Some basics typically provided when staying at a home cared for by individuals vs. a company are missing (e.g. salt and pepper, coffee filters, beach toys/extras, etc.) The code to the door didn’t work a couple of times. It resulted in us having to wait 25mins for the management company to drop a key. They were easy to reach and responsive, but it was a minor inconvenience because we had a sleepy toddler on our hands. The home overall was clean, but the bath mats didn't appear to be washed in between guests. In addition to that, the downstairs porch could use a good pressure wash. The home faces the highway. You’re not on top of it, but you do hear cars when outside on the porch. We still enjoyed our time out there and it becomes a white noise after a few minutes. Definitely noticed it when we first stepped out there. If you’re traveling with kids the location and space is great, but keep in mind you’ll need to bring beach toys and any kid related extras. They home did have a good selection of board games and puzzles for adults/teens. We would definitely stay here again! Just trying to provide more detail and context for future travelers. We stay in 2-3 vacation rentals a year and I feel like we have a pretty good idea of what makes for a nice stay. Loved our time in this comfortable and cute home!
