You can sit in the living room and look out at the ocean through sliding glass doors. Or, better yet, slip out and listen to the sounds of the Atlantic and breathe in the salty sea air. Your living room has a 50-inch HDTV with cable and a DVD player. Wi-Fi makes it easy for you to check out websites for area attractions. If you have more than four in your vacation party, two guests can sleep on the sofa sleeper in the living room. Is there a talented chef among you? He or she will be delighted with the Surf Club 1 1403 kitchen. Make one stop at the grocery and you’ll be all set to cook for a week. This kitchen is fully loaded with appliances, cookware and serving ware. In addition to the elegant dining table for six, you also have a breakfast nook at the edge of the kitchen.
After a full day, the primary bedroom is just what you need with its wall of sliding doors onto the balcony, a king-size bed and a personal TV. The en suite bathroom offers both a soaking tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom features a queen-size bed, ceiling fan and private TV. The second bathroom includes a shower/tub combination. You even have a washer and dryer so you can keep everyone in clean clothes.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Surf Club 1. The property was safe, clean, well maintained, and had pretty landscaping. The view of the ocean was lovely. We did not utilize the pools because the one we were told was heated did not feel heated and was much too cold to be pleasant. The unit was a bit worn and dated but was cleaned well by housekeeping. We enjoyed the use of the fishing dock across the street. We liked being centrally located between Flagler and St. Augustine for easy visits to those locations. The one big negative is the fact that there is no "beach" to go to here. The condo complex sits on an unusable portion of beach because of the very large coquina rocks covering the sand. We were not made aware of the fact that although this was an oceanfront property, you can not go to the beach here. This is something that should be mentioned in the description.

The rental was exactly what was expected. Management company's ratings are accurate. The view from balcony is great, the pool a great place to take a nap or read a book. The tennis, shuffle board, and dock on the intercoastal are across the street in a companion neighborhood. But the dock is worth the time, as it is a great place to watch the sunset, and we we're delighted to be entertained by dolphins. The beach is rocky, but we were aware of this before booking rental. We enjoyed sitting on the rocks watching the tide roll in. Big plus, wide bike trails for miles. We rode our bikes every day to lunch, the grocery store, and even a close by state park. If your looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is your spot!
