Description
Relax on the covered back porch in the where you will find an outdoor dining area as well as a charcoal/gas combo grill. This is the perfect place to spend your evening grilling up your best catch of the day and taking in the coastal beauty. Your fur babies are welcome to share the stay; no more than 2 dogs allowed.
Inside you will find two coastal themed bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a flat panel cable TV and sectional in the living area along with tile floors throughout and natural lighting. The dining room table seats up to six people and opens to the fully equipped kitchen. The first bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a queen size bed. The first bathroom has a shower/tub combo with an upgraded vanity. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. In the second bathroom you will find a walk-in shower and upgraded vanity. The home also offers a detached 3rd Bedroom for added privacy.
The Blue Heron is only minutes away from all the excitement of downtown Rockport! Rockport Beach is a fun and affordable way to spend a day relaxing and swimming. Kids will also have a blast at the beach with the multiple themed playgrounds and swing sets. There are picnic tables and grills that you can set up at for the perfect beach experience. Rockport Beach also allows fishing and gives you the option to purchase a day pass or an annual pass. We have a list of fishing guides on our site as well!
This is also a prime location for birding! Little Bay has many protected areas for birds that you can enjoy while walking along the water. Rockport is home to many historical sights and parks as well, including the Fulton Mansion, Goose Island State Park, and The Texas Maritime Museum. Spend a day shopping on Austin Street and an evening walking along the water. You can also enjoy fresh fish while watching the sunset over the bay at one of Rockport's many tasty seafood restaurants.

We really enjoyed the house. It was very clean and cool. The extra bedroom suite was a huge plus. Fishing off of the dock was great and it is very close to many restaurants and the pier. Highly recommend.

Location was great. We loved the fishing dock. Caught a blacktip shark, black drum, & trout. Main house was pretty clean. Floors could use a good scrubbing. They leave limited supplies for use, adding more soap, trash bags, paper towels would be ideal. Guest house has a strong cat urine smell as soon as you walk in. The AC does not cool the room down enough and needs to be looked at.

At first I was ready to cancel my reservation, the host provided the incorrect keypad code to get inside the house and we had to wait outside for over an hour with a tired 10 year old. I tried texting, calling, messaging the host with no respose. I called Airbnb support and 40 minutes later they called me back with the correct code. I do have to say this place is peaceful, beautiful, clean, and the backyard fishing deck was a plus! my 10 year old had his first catch and we were all exited. All the frustration of the check in issue just went away with the beautiful days we had after that.
