Escape to the mountains with your family to the beautiful Country Cabin. Part of the Apache Village, this cabin can accommodate up to six guests comfortably. You’ll love to take advantage of the great location, picnic spots and nearby hiking trails while still having the privacy of your own cabin at night.

Country Cabin features two-bedrooms and one-bathroom as well as a queen-size sleeper sofa. Located near restaurants, shops and art galleries, the cabin provides just enough connection with Ruidoso while still maintaining the feel of a private mountain enclave. Like all the cabins in Apache Village, Country Cabin was built by an experienced carpenter in the post-war 1940s. Gleaming knotty pine walls and ceilings give the cabin a cozy feeling and the pride of a skilled builder is evident in every room.

You can begin each day with a steaming cup of coffee out on the porch in the crisp mountain air. Or, gather your group around the large dining table for some eggs and bacon before heading out for the day’s adventure. You have a well-equipped kitchen at your disposal with a gas stove, side-by-side refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster and coffeemaker along with all the cookware and serving ware you’ll need.

The Country Cabin living room is a cozy gathering place for your group. Build a fire in the wood-burning fireplace then settle into the comfortable couch and loveseat to watch your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV with cable. Or, set up a board game on the dining table and get everyone involved in the fun.

After a full day, your bedrooms will look so inviting. Each offers a queen-size bed and nightstands with reading lamps. You’ll find every room is the perfect temperature, thanks to window air-conditioning units located strategically throughout the cabin.

The Country Cabin bathroom features a shower/tub combination that’s ideal for bathing young children in your group while giving adults the steaming showers they usually prefer.

Best of all, you can stay at Country Cabin in Apache Village for a fraction of what you would pay in most mountain accommodations. With what you save, you can stay longer or maybe take home some of the beautiful art you’ll find in local galleries.

As cozy and inviting as Country Cabin is, you’ll no doubt want to get out and explore this fascinating area. Fishing is a big attraction. Lake Alto is stocked with trout each year while Grindstone Lake and Ruidoso River are also great places to toss out a line. Don’t forget to pack your gear. Nothing tastes better than fresh fish cooked on your private gas grill! Additionally, you’ll definitely want to visit Ruidoso Winter Park with its zip-line that’s open year-round. A casino, great hiking trails, golf, galleries and horseback riding will also pique your interest. You’ll never run out of fun things to do.

Make today the day you reserve your preferred dates to visit Country Cabin, and then start planning all the fun things you’ll do in Ruidoso!

Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains may be required for during the winter months.
