The garden was lovely, there being a morning side and an afternoon side for sunsets and enclosure which our dog loved. We lacked for nothing. Great book collection as well, loved the host's sensibilities. - It was a little far from the town, but the surrounding community had markets, hardware, shops, etc. If there had been a hot tub it would have been perfection. It was a little awkward picking up the keys as we had to go into town first and there was also some confusion around paying as booking.com failed send the property manager a virtual cc, but in the end we worked it out. Finally, there was only a tv in the den, but the guest book mentioned one in the bedroom which was non existent. That would have been great. Never could get the fire place to work, probably our failing.

The house itself is very pretty, very authentic. It was well stocked with everything you need. It has a great kitchen, good bathrooms, and spacious bedrooms. The greatest appeal is that it is pet friendly. However, They weren’t ready for me to check in when we arrived after 4pm (check in time). The heat was not on and it takes 24 hours to heat up. It was freezing! It wasn’t as close to town as I thought and makes for a long drive if you plan to ski (50 mins). Layout of furniture was weird. There is no TV in the main living space and after a day of skiing watching TV together as a group/family is desirable, but not possible due to furniture arrangement. Everyone said the beds were uncomfortable. My BIGGEST problem with the property is that they advertised their house as non-smoking and it has been clearly smoked in. This is absolutely infuriating. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke and would not have booked this if I had known.
