This home has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area with an extra-large balcony and extended balcony out to the canal. Ample seating in all areas for guests to enjoy views of the canal, sunset, and cool breezes. The kitchen is fully equipped for meals for 14 guests.
This specially designed home has two bedrooms up and two bedrooms at ground level (not connected by an interior staircase, perfect for guests with mobility issues or two separate families who like to share). Upstairs the primary bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan and large flat-screen TV, en suite bath with a large step-in shower. The second bedroom also upstairs features a queen bed and television. The second bath upstairs has a step-in shower. The third bedroom at the ground level is a bunk room for 6 - one twin over full bunk bed and one twin over twin bunk bed in this room. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds that may be pushed together for a king. 3 rollaway twins are available also.
At ground level, the sleeping accommodations are in a Jack-n-Jill style separated by a mini kitchenette with coffee pot, and a full bathroom with shower. The washer and dryer are also located in this area.
The outside of Island Life is where the fun really begins - so much space for everyone to spread out and enjoy a weekend at island life. The decks and balconies have a variety of tables and chairs for gameplay, afternoon cocktails, fish cleaning station, underwater fishing lights! This home also has a boathouse where guests may tie off their marine vessels! This home also has an outdoor shower to rinse off if you swim in the canal.
Jamaica Beach Texas is one of the most popular beaches and sought-after neighborhoods when it comes to vacation rentals – what it lacks in size, it makes up for action during the summer months, holidays and event weekends! Jamaica Beach is far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle of Seawall (8 miles), and but not too far away from most of the island attractions (10 miles from 61st Street). Jamaica Beach also has it’s own community pool and private marina and boat ramp, Regatta Basin, a community pavilion and playground.

This home is pet-friendly. All pets must be registered, and pet fee ($100/pet) must be paid upfront. Outside the home, dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for picking up after dogs. Please review Ryson’s 'Tips for Traveling with Pets' for additional information.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.
Jamaica Beach is a residential neighborhood, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 pm and 7 am.
Outside/exterior security surveillance is present at this home for the security of the home and our guests.
Even if listed as a provided amenities, Ryson is unable to guarantee specific cable package, network or channels or cable and internet signal quality and cable may not be available on all TVs. Oftentimes additional TVs are available for guests wanting to hook up their own game systems or streaming devices.
All reservations require a completed Ryson Rental Agreement, and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to rent this property and provide a valid ID at check-in. Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is at 10 am.
Monthly rentals are considered in the off-season - Winter Texans, snowbirds, retirees, corporate stays, medical professionals, university students and plant workers are welcome. Extended stays or monthly rentals require a stay of 30+ nights, and these reservations are tax exempt. This is an immediate savings of 15%! Although most extended stay reservations are between the middle of November through February, extended stays may be considered anytime between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Extended stay reservations may not be placed online, but a Ryson Vacation Planner would love to answer any questions you may have and help you reserve your extended stay.

The place was beautiful and as described. There where to 2 small complains, the first one is trying to get in to the 2nd floor. Once you go upstairs there's a door to the left with a keypad and that's not the door to enter. As soon as you go upstairs make a right. Go around the house and there's a 2nd door by the kitchen with a keypad to enter. Wi-Fi was not provided to until Saturday April 1st at 1:38pm keep in mind we check in Friday March 31. Overall everything was great!

Overall, This location needs more personal touch. This is our first rental that is managed by a company vs individual owner. We did feel it was less homely and in personal. The deck is probably its best feature. one of the reasons we book this place. Good view and quiet location. Beds are okay for upstairs room, but downstairs metal bunk beds squeaks a lot, also has a damp smell but that is normal for these rooms. Has puzzles and games for family play and we watched Netflix movies at night. Fishing was a little disappointing as we only caught a few and they were not any keepers. this is our 5th time down in these areas and it is the only time we were disappointed from fishing. maybe it was the tide. Kitchen supply is probably our biggest issue. usually there are common things in the house. ie. salt, suggar, coffee, tea, hot cocoa etc. we didn't even find extra trash bags. we also have a decent size roach that came and went on the ceiling. too high for us to tried to kill it.

This house is is a great location. It was clean and being on the canal was awesome. Kids could fish, swim and kayak. The bunk beds and two twins are downstairs with no inside access to upstairs which was a negative and there was a problem getting the upstairs door unlocked. It did take several calls and down time trying to get someone to help. But otherwise it was a relaxing vacation.

This property was awesome. Quiet, relaxing, and plenty of room. The deck wrapped around the house and we enjoyed sitting out there each morning and evening. We enjoyed kayaking and catching some crabs off the deck. We rented a golf cart and took it down to the beach each day. The home was in a great location for this. Family of 7 and everyone had plenty of room. Very enjoyable stay.

The inside of the house was adorable and very clean (with the exception of the white dog hairs on the dark floor) but outside seemed to need a power washing. The check-in process seems outdated compared to other rental companies that I've used given that you actually have to go into the office to retrieve the keys and a 10 am checkout seems rather early. Overall, though, it was a nice house, management staff was helpful and friendly and so it was a good experience. Thanks.
