The 2nd bathroom has both a tub and a shower, and with one bathroom for each bedroom, mornings will be much less hectic. Plenty of fresh towels will be waiting for you, as well as bedding, blankets, and pillows--no need to bring your own.
Of course, you don’t come to Florida to spend all your time indoors, even in a condo as lovely as Gateway Villa 796. Be sure to pack your swimsuit, as the complex has its own oversized heated pool. It also has an outdoor dining area, complete with grills so that you can barbecue your catch of the day (or steaks from the supermarket!).

We have stayed at this condo for several years and booked it again for next year. This time we noticed it was not cleaned well when we arrived, and there are items that need to be repaired and/or replaced. Hoping it doesn't continue to deteriorate. We look forward to staying here each year!

The condo and everything about it was great. However when we arrived the screen at the end of the lanai was torn loose so I reported it with a maintenance ticket immediately. I gave permission for the repair folks to enter the condo and it was never repaired the whole time we were there. This was unfortunate because every night when we tried to use the lanai it was filled with bugs, no fun. One morning a seagull flew in cause a little trouble. But we survived. The only thing that would have made our trip better is that the screen would have been repaired. Upon leaving the manager at VRBO said sorry that we should have called her. We followed the maintenance emergency directions.

I spent three weeks at Gateway Villa 796, the first week I worked remotely and had great internet response and working on the balcony with little noise was perfect. The view from the 7th floor was so good I could see the dolphins swim by nearly every morning and evening. Location was perfect as you are only half mile walk from times square/pier where all the shops and restaurants are but still far enough away where the beach felt private. So many great restaurants to choose from with live music too. There is nothing like Ft Myers Beach sand for walking. The condo was spacious and well kept with the exception that the washer did not work but there was a laundry facility on first floor. It could have used functioning beach chairs and beach towels although I did donate the ones I purchased. Maintenance never fixed the secondary dead bolt that the owner approved fixing but felt safe in the building. I would definitely rent it again.

The condo's location is great! It has a terrific view of the ocean & you can walk right out front to enjoy the beach! It is a little bit of a walk to Times Square, the restaurants & shops, but we did it several times & enjoyed it. There is no parking in Times Square as its so busy so walking or biking is best. The condo has a huge TV & a really nice master bedroom with sliding doors on the ocean. Our kids stayed in the 2nd bedroom which is an inside room but had two twin beds that worked well. The kitchen had everything we needed. I did think it was weird they only give you one roll of TP & you had to go buy more yourself. You would think they could just give you a couple per bathroom. Huh. Our only real complaint is that the key had to be picked up/dropped off at a place about 3 miles down the beach. 3 miles down that beach road with traffic was about 1 1/2 hours. It seemed like a system that could be easily remedied considering the traffic. Otherwise, Ft Myers beach is a fun, beautiful place to stay with tons of activities or just relaxing options! Dolphins swam by right in front of the condo!

Condo was clean and had plenty of amenities from games to books and a fully stocked kitchen with everything from a blender to a crockpot. Even had beach chairs, sand toys and umbrellas with a beach caddy for transportation to and from the beach! Excellent location on the seventh floor allowed for views of the gulf on one side and the bay on the other. The unit did have a washer and dryer in it which was very helpful throughout the week. Only supplied a minimal amount of paper products like toilet paper and paper towels, not enough. Other than those minor things everything was great. One of the best locations on Fort Myers Beach, the north end is the best in my opinion. Close to everything but yet still feels private! A very short walk to Times square and you have all the action you could want.
