In 15 minutes you can drive to Siesta Key Beach along the Gulf of Mexico; its quartz-white sands have led to it consistently ranking among the top beaches in the country. Numerous other attractions, including the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, the jaw-dropping Ca d’Zan mansion, and the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, are within a half-hour’s drive.
