Where you'll be
Description
Homer’s Hideaway is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom air-conditioned vacation home that can sleep up to eight when the sunroom’s twin bed with trundle is put to use.
Huge windows on the woods greet you the moment you walk across the Homer’s Hideaway threshold into the great room. You’ll also find a majestic gas fireplace constructed of river rock. Your leather couch and recliner are perfectly positioned to watch the large flat-screen TV with cable, DVD player, and VCR. There are three TVs within Homer’s Hideaway, so you’ll never be far from your favorite programs. There’s also free Internet within your vacation home in case you want to send photos home to friends.

Out on the deck, you have lots of seating around your fire pit, a nice way to warm up on a cool mountain evening. You also have a huge hot tub where you can soothe muscles tired from golfing, skiing, or hiking in the mountains.
You can also challenge your group to a ping-pong tournament in the garage. Of course, if you would like to use the garage for a car instead, you can easily take down the ping-pong table. This is a two-car garage, but half of it contains the owner’s personal car. Additional cars will find plenty of flat parking area out in front of Homer’s Hideaway. You’ll like that Homer’s Hideaway is all on one level to increase accessibility for all.
Beyond the living room is your Homer’s Hideaway dining room complete with its hand-hammered copper dining table that seats six. If additional seats are needed at mealtime, two guests can be set up at the breakfast bar.

Large side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispenser, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, and dual stainless steel sinks give you all the right equipment. You also have loads of handy utensils, small appliances, cookware, serving ware, and dishes on hand to make getting food on the table a pleasurable and convenient experience.
Of course, there are many restaurants in downtown Ruidoso where you can get a hearty meal any day of the week too.

Just beyond your bedroom is your primary en-suite. When morning comes you can be in the shower in just a few steps, ready to wake up for another fun-filled day in the mountains.
The two guest rooms each include a queen-sized bed and nightstands with reading lamps. Any guests will be pleased to claim these rooms as their private domain. Those staying in these bedrooms will share a bathroom with a shower/tub combination. Having more than one bathroom is convenience guests appreciate.

The cabin is very nice and the view amazing. It's our third time we stay there but this time the experience wasn't as good as in the past. The kitchen supplies need an upgrade. The pans are horrible and very limited. The silverware too and it was dirty with food still in it. I needed an extra blanket for the master bedroom and there were none. Those little things can make a difference.

There is NO Mountain View at all. I'd you stand in one corner on top toes, you see a tip of it through the trees! Owner left a broken gas grill on ground by back patio. Sucked having to look at that while outdoors and Interfered in pictures of the Elk. Only 3 coffee coffee cups, and dirty silverware. All dishes were old. Glasses looked dirty due to age. Windows not cleaned in a few years cause you couldn't see through them. No dish rags for cleaning. Porch needs repair. Some boards buckling and needs painting. Ping pong table covered in dust. Swing was facing back porch and couldn't be used. We had to sweep the back patio and the only chair off due to all the limbs. We were there for five days and didn't have to sweep again. So that means they didn't get it ready for guest. There was debris in the hot tub when we opened it. Only used about 45 minutes total. Will not be going to that cabin again.
