Starlight Cabin sits along the Rio Ruidoso. This modest fishing & hunting cabin has been beautifully renovated. While retaining it’s homespun charm you’ll find upscale furnishings, stainless appliances, WiFi & cable TV.

This quaint one bedroom cottage, Starlight Cabin is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. A sleeper sofa in the living room expands the cabin to sleep 4. Have your morning coffee at the table on the covered deck or sit on the porch swing while you enjoy the views of the river and the wildlife. Deer and elk frequent the area regularly. After a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars, you’ll nod off to sleep listening to the water rushing over the rocks.

As you relax indoors the large windows let you enjoy the sunlight streaming in, the rustling of the leaves in the fall or views of a quiet snowfall. The corner Vermont Castings stove enhances the living space. The kitchen features granite counters, stainless appliances, a large farm sink & all the dishes & cookware you’ll need to prepare a wonderful “home away from home” cooked meal. A grill is provided to prepare your favorite BBQ or your fresh “catch of the day”.

Starlight Cabin’s bedroom includes a wonderful king-sized bed, custom-made side tables, dresser & spacious closet. An antique claw-foot tub with shower is just another unique feature as is the reclaimed sink, distinguishing Starlight Cabin from so many other vacation rentals.

Another advantage, of course, is the cabin’s location. Set along the Rio Ruidoso but just minutes away from downtown, you can finish your morning coffee than stroll or take a quick drive to enjoy your day shopping or gallery hopping in midtown. After a busy morning you can retreat back to the cabin or eat in many of the wonderful restaurants.

If you’re looking for outdoor adventures, Starlight Cabin is centrally located between both Grindstone & Alto Lake. You can kayak, fish, paddleboard, play disc golf or hike on the numerous trails in the area both around the lakes or up in the Cedar Creek recreation area. Take a guided horseback ride at Grindstone stables or enjoy live horse racing at Ruidoso Downs. The Billy The Kid casino or the Inn of the Mountain Gods are about 10 minutes away. The Ruidoso Winter Park is just on the north end of Ruidoso going toward Ski Apache, which is about a 40 minute drive. (Be prepared for winter road conditions with either 4 wheel drive or chains)

Don’t miss Starlight Cabin for your next mountain escape. Maximum 1 vehicle.

Cozy enough for two people. Location is great, near downtown. Would make two small recommendations: the bed needs a foam pillow top for added comfort and add a couple of black out shades to keep the light out in the bedroom. Will rent again in the future.
