Whether you’re enjoying one of the two decks or lounging inside, the stunning Sierra Blanca are never far from view at Robin's Nest. That’s just one of many reasons you’ll relish your stay here. Besides the setting, the attractions of this three-bedroom home include a brand new hot tub, a pool tub, and a location close to just about everything the area has to offer.

The great room is located on the upper level. The first thing you’ll notice is the wall of picture windows spanning its length and looking out over Ponderosa pines to the mountains. Whether you’re sprawled out on a well-cushioned sofa, nestled in a roomy armchair, or perched at the breakfast bar, you can admire nature’s splendor. Of course, there’s plenty more to do in the great room as well. It’s spacious enough for the whole gang to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV with cable or to play Pictionary amid the golden glow of the fireplace.

In addition to the expansive living space, the great room includes the dining area. Six people can sit down to the table, and two more can perch at the adjacent breakfast bar. The breakfast bar can pull double-duty by serving as additional kitchen counter space or a desk where you can set up your laptop to take advantage of the free WiFi!

The kitchen, by the way, is so well equipped, it might spur you to new culinary heights. Along with a full array of stainless-steel appliances, it’s stocked with cookware, gadgets, and tableware. There’s plenty of counter space, storage, and elbow room too. Perhaps best of all, the open layout lets you watch eagles soar above the mountains while you cook.

During the warm-weather months, you’ll probably want to cook and dine alfresco. The great room and kitchen lead out to the upper deck, which boasts a table, chairs, chaises, and a gas grill. The crisp mountain breezes and the glorious scenery will transform even the simplest meal into a special occasion at Robin's Nest.

Another way to revel in the vistas and the pine-scented air is soaking in the hot tub on the lower deck. Though luxuriating among the steamy jets of water is enjoyable any time of day, a soak is especially magical late at night beneath the canopy of stars.

Indoors on the lower level is the game room, the centerpiece of which is a pool table. No need to head to town for after-dinner entertainment: Between the pool table, the hot tub, the cable channels, and the WiFi, there’s plenty at Robin's Nest to keep everyone happily occupied.

The primary bedroom is on the upper level of the home and includes a king-size sleigh bed, flat-screen TV, and a cozy window seat. A second bedroom with a king-size bed is downstairs, as is the third bedroom, which features one twin and one queen. Both of which feature their own TVs as well. No fighting over the remote here! There’s a full bathroom on each floor, plus a convenient half-bath. Speaking of convenience, the house has its own full-size washer and dryer. What’s more, it includes three futons, each of which can sleep two people, so there’s no shortage of sleeping space.

As restful and rejuvenating as Robin's Nest is, you don’t come to Ruidoso just to stay indoors. If golf’s your game, you’ll be glad to know that the Links at Sierra Blanca and Cree Meadows courses are within a 10-minute drive. Robin's Nest is also less than 15 minutes from both Alto Lake and Grindstone Lake. You can fish both lakes as well as explore the surrounding trails on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. Equally close are the Hubbard Museum of the American West, Ruidoso Downs, and the galleries and boutiques of downtown Ruidoso, and Ski Apache just 40 minutes away. (If you’re visiting in winter, a vehicle with four-wheel drive or tire chains is strongly advised.)

Experience the pleasures of Ruidoso and Robins Nest for yourself: Book your stay today and prepare for a getaway you’ll never forget! Maximum 3 vehicles.

This house is fabulous. It has all the basic cookware and silverware you would need. The bedding was comfortable and there were plenty of towels for the restrooms. The hot tub was amazing after a day of being out on the town.
