Whoever set up this house put a lot of thought and care into making it nice for a family to enjoy. They provided games and puzzles and books. The porches had rockers and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. There was even a telescope in the closet. There were beach chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards downstairs. The outside shower had shampoo and conditioner in it. The location is so convenient to the beach and the canal. They allow dogs which was the main reason we chose to rent it. I really appreciate all of the thought and care that the owner put into making our stay comfortable.

Location is great! Very close to beach access. Lots of places for people to sleep and are dog friendly, which is a plus.

Perfect little beach house on the sound with lots of beds, a well-stocked kitchen, wonderful covered porch, and very close beach access. I don’t know whether it was the rental company or the previous guests who left a whole bag of ice in the freezer, but it was very much appreciated. There’s a big TV for movie nights (stream or play DVDs). The kitchen was spacious. We liked the simple, open layout of the house. Really, nothing fancy but just what we needed. Small and only real nitpick: waterproof mattress protectors plus cotton-poly blend sheets made for a hot sleep on the very firm king bed (and presumably the others) if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing (I am). We usually bring our own sheets but we didn’t have a king set to bring. Next time (we’d love to rent this again) I’ll bring some. Not a dealbreaker: just mentioning it for other sheet-picky renters.
