Where you'll be
Description
A wall of windows that reveals the lake view will instantly grab your attention upon entering the main level. Easily lending itself to entertaining, the spacious main level has an open floor plan that is highlighted by hardwood floors and cathedral ceilings. Family and friends will spend lots of quality time in the great room making plans for a day on the lake or simply enjoying a cozy evening by the glow of the fireplace (not available during summer). Whether you are preparing an entire meal or whipping up a favorite dessert, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to satisfy your crew's appetites. Seating for eight at the dining room table plus four at the breakfast bar means that you can comfortably gather at mealtime and everyone will have a little extra elbow room.
The deck is adjacent to the living room and dining area giving you convenient access for summer BBQs and fall leaf peeping. Overlooking your private dock, this is the best spot to listen to the sounds of nature as you start your day with a cup of coffee and some quiet time. As an added bonus, there is an enclosed porch where you can kick-back and relax no matter what the weather.
Also on the main level is a spacious primary suite where you can rest up after a day spent hitting the slopes or hiking mountain trails. With a private bath, TV, and comfy queen bed it has everything you need to feel refreshed before another fun-filled day at Deep Creek.
Upstairs, the open and airy loft leads to the second primary suite. It is a private retreat with a queen bed, TV, and private bath. A skylight lets in lots of natural light giving the room a breezy feel that is enhanced by the vaulted ceiling. You'll love soaking in the jetted tub where everyday concerns will seem far away.
The lower level family room is where you can rack 'em up at the pool table, grab a cold beverage from the min-fridge at the wet bar, or watch your home team on the flat screen. Step out onto the patio when you are ready to immerse yourself in the bubbling hot tub that will leave you instantly relaxed. You will also find two additional bedrooms on this level - one with two twins and the other with a queen.
Beautifully landscaped and dotted with towering trees, the outdoor living space is exceptional. Stairs and a path lead you to the waterfront where your private dock awaits. A picnic table and wooden swing make this a comfortable place to spend lazy summer days. Swimming, fishing, and boating will occupy that daytime hours. When the sun starts to set, gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and tell stories. There are sure to be lots of laughs as you make happy vacation memories under the stars.
When you are ready to explore the area, you will be pleased to know that restaurants, shops, state parks, and popular activities are nearby. A fifteen-minute drive will take you to Wisp Resort where four seasons of fun are waiting. Skiing, snow tubing, mountain biking, zip lining, and mountain coaster rides are just a few of the adventures you can experience. There are also two golf courses when you are ready to hit the links.

Great home, and perfect for a family vaca. The house can sleep many guests comfortably. The house was clean, tidy, and had some great communal spaces. Especially the porch. We used the dock for our rented pontoon for the week. The very long steep walk down to the lake was treacherous at times (after rain especially). Guests should understand it is not for anyone who has hip, knee, or walking issues. My parents had much trouble with this walk, and there is not an alternative route to get down.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We appreciate you highlighting the positives of the home, such as the comfortable accommodations and the great communal spaces. The porch and the dock sound like wonderful amenities that you were able to enjoy during your stay.
We regret to hear that the walk down to the lake was challenging, especially for your parents. As you mentioned, the steep incline may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns. We will make sure to communicate this information more clearly in our property descriptions to set proper expectations.
We strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests, and your feedback will help us improve. We hope you had an overall enjoyable family vacation, and we look forward to the opportunity to host you again in the future.

Walk to the dock is steep and some stairs would be a great upgrade.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your suggestion about adding stairs for easier access to the dock. We strive to improve our guests' experience, and your insights are invaluable. We hope to welcome you back soon!

Our family group of 9 had a wonderful summer stay! We kayaked, swam, walked, enjoyed the hot tub, and ate outside on the lovely deck. We also grilled outside (though note that it's a restaurant-style flat grill, not the tradition charcoal or gas grill). The beds were comfortable, though with three levels, the a/c was a little tricky (cold basement rooms, warm loft room). The living room was very nice with a beautiful window that looked out on many trees full of birds. The dock area was nice and felt private on such a big lake, and though the area has many power boats, there were interesting, quieter places to kayak. Our only warning to other visitors is the very steep gravel path down to the lake, where three of our nine folks slipped and fell: Use the grass next to it until the owners (hopefully) provide a safer walkway.

The master bedroom sky light above the bed was a big bummer. We had to wear eye masks to sleep past 5am. Also, the property was very steep. We recomend you put more then 1 drying towel in the kitchen. Otherwise the kitchen was fully stocked.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the skylight in the master bedroom and the steepness of the property. We'll look into options to improve the experience for future guests. Your suggestion about adding more kitchen drying towels is greatly appreciated, and we'll make sure to address that immediately. We're glad to hear that you found the kitchen well-stocked otherwise. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide an even better experience!
