This is the second year in a row staying here. Once again a great experience. Everything we need to enjoy our time is provided. The recent interior updates made were noticed. The staff had to come to the house a couple times for cleaning and an appliance repair. They respected our time and our use of the property.

My family and I enjoyed our time at 5566 Palmetto, Ft. Myers Beach, Fl. The management co(Distinctive Beach Rentals) was attentive and wonderful to work with. I would say the house overall was a good fit for our needs. The only issue was the lower level bedroom/apartment was a bit musty. The overall stay was nice.

Property is located in a great neighborhood very close to beach access. Pool and hot tub are very nice and backyard area is nice. Tiki Bar is very old and could use a good update. Chairs around pool are old as well. Location of this property is in a quiet neighborhood and most of the homes in the area are well maintained. House itself is on the small side - bathrooms are both very tiny but in decent shape. Biggest complaint is really poor WiFi - could not send a simple PDF file despite there being just one device accessing WiFi. Had to drive to relatives home to send an email by an important deadline. TV had basic cable, meaning very basic. ESPN not included in package. Kitchen was newly updated but lacked some basic essentials - salt and pepper, garbage bags, coffee filters. The maintenance company was outstanding - serviced the pool often, checked out the air conditioning and very very responsive to any questions/requests. The downstairs bedroom wasn’t bad but once again on the old side. Very basic furnishings.

Upon arrival, the cleaning company told us they couldn’t find the remote for the tv. That’s it. No tv for the week. Not the worst thing, but I’m sure it will be an issue for someone. Also, two tanks of propane at the grill station, both empty. Tiki bar is weathered. Be careful of splinters. It’s an older home and needs some modern touches, but it worked for us.
