very old home, needs updated, wood floors would be nice so dogs wouldn't want to mark. driveway is very hard to get in and out of,

Lakefront, boat dock and back deck are nice. The rest of the property is very rough. Very busy part of the lake with all the boat rentals and boat traffic. The two usable bathrooms had major plumbing problems. Showers would not drain. Maintenance did get one working. The door to the basement bedroom has no lock and leads to the rest the house. The basement has a mold smell and for the most part the whole house smells bad. The 2nd bedroom deck is dangerous for kids and pets, railing is not up to code. The furnishings are very old and smell bad. I feel for the next guest that stay there, its rough.

Overall the stay was nice. There were a few problems: 1) there are 3 doors in the lower level leading to the patio. The north door (coming off the bedroom) had a broken lock which created a potential break in problem. 2) The lower level gas fireplace was not vented and produced a strong gas odor from the pilot light, until it was turned off when we called maintenance. 3) The floors are uneven and have small ledges between some of the rooms creating a tripping hazard. 4) The driveway is very difficult to back in or out of. 5) lots of traffic noise from highway 219. But for the price it had a pleasant rustic feel with lots of room and we enjoyed it.
