185 Mid Island is a unique old style Florida home with charm and character. From the moment you walk up to the hand carved, wooden front door you'll be transformed back to a time and era when stress was not an every day word and life was simple. Walking through the front door you are welcomed by the spacious, warm living room. Large picture windows on the south and west sides of the room bathe this area in the bright Florida sunshine. Stained glass windows and antiques can be found throughout the house giving it personality. Comfortable furnishings, along with a flat screen TV will have you relaxing in no time. The living room sofa converts to a sleeper sofa for an additional sleeping area for two if needed. The living room is also equipped with a desk and high speed wireless internet for those who may need to do a little work while here in Paradise. There is also a multitude of books and games for some good old fashioned family fun and down time. Take the few steps down from the elevated living room into the sunken kitchen and dining room. A large farmhouse style table provides for family meals. The kitchen is spacious with stainless steel appliances and a small bistro table for two beside a beautiful bay window. The dining room has a sliding glass door at the east side of it that provides access to a wonderful outdoor sitting area with TV. This will surely be one of your favorite areas to unwind. Just off the kitchen area is the first of two full bathrooms and the laundry area. A full size front load washer and dryer have been provided for all your laundry needs. Take the couple of stairs on the opposite side of the living room to the sleeping quarters. The master bedroom has a new king bed with in-room TV and is separated from the guest bedroom by a Jack and Jill bathroom. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of dresser space for your guests belongings. 185 Mid Island is centrally located in a quiet residential neighborhood, just close enough to walk to all the action of the island. The beach is a short 2 minute walk from the house. Once out on the sand you will find seven miles of white sugar sand beach to explore and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. For the adventurous Jet Ski and parasailing rentals are only a five minute walk to the north. Shops and restaurants can also be found within walking distance. Times Square is just a mile north where you can enjoy fabulous restaurants, amazing beach bars with local live bands, and an abundance of boutiques and shops. Two full service grocery stores are close by, one to the north, the other to the south of the house. Both are less than half a mile away in either direction. Jump on the trolley at the corner of Estero Blvd. to explore further out on the island. Head down to the south end to Santini Marina Plaza where you can find more shops and restaurants. Lovers Key State Park is just a bit further with additional miles of secluded beaches waiting for you to explore. Sunset and dolphin tours are available behind Publix or at Santini Marina Plaza as well. Just around the corner is the Mound House. This is a fantastic historic site on Fort Myers Beach that you won't want to miss exploring. It's just a five minute walk from the house and offers a great fishing dock from Estero Bay for those who might want to catch a fresh fish dinner for everyone! Come and experience 185 Mid Island where you'll spend peaceful days and nights with family and friends here in Paradise. Once here you will be planning your return trip back before you leave!
