Snowcap Mountain Lodge can accommodate up to 15 friends and family. It’s a great place to visit in any season, but when the snow flies it feels especially wonderful after a day of skiing or playing in the snow. Snuggle up before the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate to relive the fun you’ve had out on the slopes.
When you walk into Snowcap Mountain Lodge you’ll be enchanted by its open, airy feel. A vaulted living room ceiling, open balcony, and soaring stone wall with fireplace creates a cozy, comfortable cabin setting.
Settle into the plush furniture to watch your cable TV. You also have a DVD and VCR. Grab some movies from a Redbox in Ruidoso, pop some popcorn, and enjoy a movie night with your gang. Even though you’re high in the mountains, you still have wireless Internet access. Post photos of your group fishing in Rio Ruidoso, hiking in the forest or making snow angels. Your free Wi-Fi is also a good way to check out websites for area attractions. You could visit the racetrack, sweep over the countryside on the zip line, make dinner reservations in Ruidoso, or arrange a tee time at an area golf course.
With all there is to do in the mountains, your group will build up some powerful appetites. Fortunately, you have a large, fully equipped kitchen where you can cook up hearty fare for your group. You’ll love the stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and healthy supply of cookware and serving ware at your command. Just stop off in Ruidoso and pick up your ingredients. Before you know it, you’ll have a hearty stew, chili, or other favorite dish steaming on the table.
You can serve your group around your dining room table that seats eight. If additional seats are needed, there’s a table that seats four right by the living room and a breakfast bar where two more guests can dine. You’ll love the large sliding glass doors in the dining room that look out on the deck and forest.
The brand new update deck is also a great place to dine al fresco. You have two tables on the deck that are perfect to relax and eat at.
After an evening of playing games with your group, you’ll be ready for a good night’s sleep. Flip a coin with your housemates to choose one of the two Primary Suites in this mountain retreat. The "North Wing" features a king-sized bed, two nightstands with reading lamps, and an armoire with a large TV you can watch from bed. Your suite also has a door to the outside so you can slip out and enjoy the fresh pine-scented air. Your primary en suite features a shower and large vanity with dual sinks. Younger guests can be tucked into the trundle bed adjoining this room. This home does not have a washer and dryer available to any guests.
The Snowcap Mountain Lodge main floor bedroom includes a queen sized bed with a nightstand, large dresser, and dual windows that overlook the tall pines. A nearby newly bathroom features a luxurious soaking tub that sits below a handsome stained glass window. What a wonderful place to get your day off to a relaxing start!
One of the second-floor bedrooms is outfitted with a queen-sized bed and plenty of closet space to store your clothes. The other bedroom on this floor also has a queen sized bed, a nightstand, lamp, and a small chest as well as a walk-in closet. Down the hall from these two bedrooms is a loft area with a loveseat ottoman, floor lamp, and a built-in desk/cabinets with a TV and a VCR. This is perfect for the kids to play or have some quiet reading time.
The lower level of this retreat has a second, large living area with two sofas and a coffee table along with a TV, VCR, game table and another trundle bed. A deck and wooded yard can be accessed on this level through the sliding glass door.
The South Wing Primary Suite features a king-sized bed with a comfortable armchair, rocker, wall-mounted TV, and a large dresser. What a great space to relax in after a day of hiking, fishing, or skiing. This Snowcap Mountain Lodge bedroom has its own updated private bathroom with a shower/tub combination, sink and vanity.
Start making your plans to visit Snowcap Mountain Lodge in the beautiful mountain town of Ruidoso. Come once and you’ll want to return year after year. Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains may be necessary during the winter months to access your home. Maximum 5 vehicles. If you are trying to book within 48 hours of arrival you must call 575-258-5200 Opt#1. Monday- Saturday 8-5 and Sunday 8-3 to book last minute.

We went up and celebrated my sister getting married. The cabin was perfect. There were 11 of us and we all enjoyed every bit of our stay. The only thing we would ask would needed was for it to be dog friendly. Other than that the cabin was perfect!
