Beautiful home very spacious and lots of amenities close by. Loved our stay!!!

The air conditioning was the problem. To Vtrips credit we were called on the way down (saturday) and told that the bottom floor unit was out but that is was going to be replaced on monday. They AC company did come and change out the unit and we were told everything was working fine. The unit never worked. The fan was running but cool air did not come out. After monday I called on three separate days to report that the AC was defunct still on the bottom floor. We had it set to 72......and the temperature stayed at 79 degrees the entire time. Even at night when it would have time to catch up it never did. One AC person came at night on a wednesday or thursday night but left without speaking to us.....one of the other folks at our house recalls that he said that it would catch up. I feel like if that was what he said (I can't 100% verify because it was not said to me) then he was being dismissive of my request. The thing is that I'm a contractor and understand fully how air conditioning systems function technically.....so blaming a stupid customer in this situation is not going to fly. I spoke to 2 different people at V-trips over the week and everyone I spoke to was kind, friendly, and helpful. Both of the people I spoke with said that we could recieve some kind of compensation for not having any airconditioning the entire seek on the bottom floor. Again, to Vtrips credit a portable, an AC unit was placed in the window of one of the bedrooms but it's size was inadequate to bring the temperature down to typical levels (A for effort but not adequate). Vtrips gets A+ on interacting with customers and for being accesible but the follow through starting from tuesday - friday was very poor. I know that V trips is relying on subcontractors and that oftentimes it is a very,very difficult thing to accomplish but the fact is that we as customers paid the price. There were 2 bedrooms on that bottom floor that were basically unusable. The other things that could improve would the be the number of towels allocated to the bathrooms. The Kitchen only had one hand towel.....we have a VRBO rental ourselves and so I know that this is not adequate. Finnally the pool was not clean when we arrived. I hate to complain but these things could improve the next person stay. One last thing.....again because I'm a contractor this stands out. The top floor AC did very well....considering it is at the highest level int he house I was impressed. The middle floor was adequate at night but unable to keep up with the daytime load. The unit more than likely is undersized for the Sq. footage of that middle floor, during the day we had it set to 72 but it wold barely achieve 76 sometimes 75 (this is adequate but the units my parents stayed in three houses over consistently kept their house at 71 with no problems. Again I can't speak to the bottom floor because the unit never functioned correctly. It has the easiest load due to very few windows that receive direct sunlight and recieving help from the floors above. I would like someone to contact me 615-305-9901 to talk about some compensation for the bottom floor of the house being 79 degrees consistently for a week. Sorry to be a complainer....hopefully these things can be corrected. The house is spacious and nice....these improvements would make it delightful.

We had a great time. The place was perfect for our needs.

Very safe gated community. The resort area with pools, hot tubs, splashpad, gym, game rooms for adults and kids, and proximity to the beach were incredible. A grocery store nearby makes shopping easy within 5 minutes and there are some nice restaurants within a short driving distance as well. We found a bike rental place 5 minutes away with trails along the intracoastal canal and were able to watch the dolphins in the canal and enjoy a kid friendly park. Multiple golf courses nearby made it easy to get out for a round of golf and the ladies found a nice nail salon nearby as well. The drives to St Augustine and Daytona Beach aren't bad, but you never need to leave this place. The house was very spacious and easily accommodated 10 of us. Note that the pool is not heated for cooler months. The area and resort are beautiful.
