Description for Alma Compound Casita
When you stay at Alma Compound Casita, you’re immersed in the Santa Fe experience—almost literally. Not only is the 1-bedroom condo an example of Pueblo Revival style, but it’s also just a short walk from some of the town’s most popular and historic attractions. Please note there is just a 3 - night minimum stay when you stay at Alma Compound Casita.
The pink-hued adobe walls surrounding the condo complex hint at the traditional Southwestern style of the unit itself. The brick floor, white adobe walls, and richly grained viga beams of the living/dining area complement the wood furnishings and the boldly colored accents. The bright red sofa, which is as comfortable as it is attractive, opens into a bed for 2, enabling Alma Compound Casita to sleep 4 people in all. On chilly winter evenings, the window seat by the kiva fireplace is a toasty perch for watching TV, surfing the web via the free WiFi or savoring an après-ski drink. There’s even a desk, in case you need to catch up on work during your stay.
The dining table seats 6 with ease. This is especially handy for entertaining friends who are staying at one of the other condos in the complex, such as Alma Compound Condo, Alma Compound Oasis, or City Views at Alma Compound. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware, and tableware necessary to host a dinner party—and plenty of counter space too. There’s even a dishwasher, because who wants to scrub plates while on vacation?
You might want to enjoy your meal outdoors, on the back patio. You can slide the bistro table and chairs under the overhang to stay in the shade on sunny summer afternoons; on chilly evenings you can start a fire in the chiminea by the adobe bench. The burble of the patio fountain is the perfect background music.
With its rustic beamed ceiling and classic wood furnishings, the bedroom of Alma Compound Casita boasts the same restful Southwestern vibe as the rest of the condo. Stretch out on the king-sized bed; nightstand lamps flanking the bed allow one of you to stay up reading while the other drifts off to sleep. The bathroom, which is also decorated with Santa Fe flair (check out the gorgeous sink!), features a shower/tub combo, so you can wake yourself up with an invigorating shower in the morning, then unwind with a soothing bath at night.
Other amenities of Alma Compound Casita include cable TV, a DVD player, and access to a washer and dryer shared with just 4 other units. Best of all, though, is its convenient location on a quiet residential street. In less than 15 minutes you can walk to the Santa Fe Plaza, the National Historic Landmark that is the heart of downtown and home to a park, shops, galleries, and the Palace of the Governors, built in 1610 and the oldest continually occupied government building in the country. Also within walking distance are the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi and Loretto Chapel, with its must-see staircase; art-lovers will appreciate being just a stroll from the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum and the New Mexico Museum of Art. If outdoor adventures are more to your liking, the Atalaya Mountain Trail, Ski Santa Fe, and Thompson Peak Trail are no more than a half-hour drive away.
However you spend your days, you’ll love returning to Alma Compound Casita at the end of them. See why one guest described the condo as “sheer joy”—book your stay today!

Reviews for Alma Compound Casita
A great find
A great find and a quite location. Comfortable and inviting for a long weekend for 2. The fireplace made for a cozy stay. Nicely decorated in the southwest theme. Look forward to a return visit.
I would readily recommend this property.
The casita was very comfortable and cozy -- just the right size for the two of us. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a kitchen. It was conveniently located near the center of town. We stayed for 4 days and really enjoyed our time seeing the sites in Santa Fe. The only downside was that our assigned parking space in the compound was taken up by another car that was never moved during our stay, so we had to park on the street. All in all, I would readily recommend this property.
Great Visit!
The view from the living room sofa was so peaceful.. Time on the patio with a fire was just great. The property was so peaceful and we had a restful, cheerful visit. Thank you
Fantastic, easy to find, comfortable, relaxing, wonderful location!!!
Beautifully decorated, so relaxing with the patio and the lovely living room...There was nothing we were lacking in the unit we rented. It was very easy to find and very close to anything we wanted to see, either a short walk or a quick drive. Having the washer and dryer available and close was fabulous! Parking was even great, I can't find a negative! I will go back to this home away again!!!
Cute and Charming
The condo was very cute and charming. Would absolutely stay there again.
