1. Canyon Road

The street itself is a work of art with its historic adobe buildings and bright flowering landscape, art installations are showcased outside and you can always find top-notch restaurants as you explore. 2. Santa Fe Plaza

Since Santa Fe’s founding in 1610, Santa Fe Plaza has been a cultural hub, hosting everything from bullfights to live music, festivals and markets. This plaza buzzes with activity and people from all ages will find things to enjoy.


3. The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi

Located just east of Santa Fe Plaza, The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi is one of the area’s most interesting historical spots. This breathtaking Romanesque cathedral was constructed in 1869 and remains open for religious services as well as tours. Visitors praise the stained-glass windows and golden glow of the exterior structure at sunsets.


4. Skiing in Santa Fe

Some of the best skiing spots in the southwest are located in Santa Fe! With Ski Santa Fe, Pajarito Mountain Ski Area, and Taos Ski Valley all close by and boasting trails and skiable terrain, Santa Fe is a prime destination for winter sports!


5. Georgia O’Keeffe Museum

Georgia O’Keeffe was inspired by Santa Fe’s blazing landscapes and became one of the top Southwestern artists of all time. Housed in a former Baptist church, the Georgia O’Keefe Museum features the largest collection of O’Keeffe artwork in the world.


6. Bandelier National Monument

Centuries before the United States became independent the southwest was divided into city-states governed by Native Americans. The Bandelier National Monument is one of the last remnants of that time and a true piece of cultural heritage. At the base of Frijoles Canyon is a collection of ancient cave dwellings and belongings of the Pueblo people. Exploring this settlement is a true wonder and something you won’t want to miss.


7. Meow Wolf

Meow Wolf is a truly eclectic Santa Fe experience. This arts and entertainment collective is an otherworldly, over-the-top immersive art installation in a 20,000 square-foot space. Visitors rave at the unique and unusual experience — and you will too.
