Company Update: Aftermath of Hurricane Helene

A Look at Our Destinations' Recovery

Company Update: Aftermath of Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene made its presence felt across the Southeast, leaving its mark on several regions. While many areas weathered the storm with minimal damage, our hearts go out to those communities more deeply impacted. We extend our thoughts to everyone affected, and we stand with them as they navigate the days ahead. At VTrips, we’re committed to supporting our local staff and partners while working to ensure that our destinations are safe and ready to welcome guests as recovery efforts continue. We are grateful for the resilience shown by the communities we serve and the dedication of those working to restore their vibrant coastal and mountain areas.

Distinctive Beach Rentals
📍 Florida Peninsula
The beautiful Atlantic Coast of Florida, from Jacksonville down to New Smyrna Beach, recently weathered the passing of Hurricane Helene. With minimal flooding and only a few areas requiring light cleanup, the beaches are open and local businesses are ready to welcome you back. Whether you’re planning a beach day in St. Augustine or a getaway to Flagler Beach, everything is in great shape and waiting for your visit.

Cape Coral felt the outer bands of Hurricane Helene but remained in overall good condition. Fort Myers Beach also stood strong, experiencing minimal damage, with most of the disruption being limited to sand deposition and minor flooding. While a few pools and beachfront restaurants are still in the process of recovery, the great news is that the area can reopen for business! The sun is shining, and the beaches are just as stunning as ever.

St. Pete and Clearwater: Ongoing Assessments
We are still assessing the impact on St. Pete and Clearwater Beaches, where the recovery process is moving forward. For the latest local updates, including beach conditions and service availability, please click here for more information.

Jackson Mountain Rentals
📍 Tennessee
As Hurricane Helene moved north into Tennessee, our Smoky Mountain brand, Jackson Mountain Rentals, experienced minimal impact. While nearby areas like Cocke County faced significant flooding and some road closures immediately after the storm, currently, business is as usual in the Smokies. The community is more than ready to welcome you for your fall and holiday adventures! Travelers can visit our partnership sites for updated travel routes, drive times, and traffic camera information to ensure a smooth journey.
